Myles is a tough match-up at the power forward position. She can crash the glass and give mutliple buckets through offensive rebound put-backs while she can also hit perimeter jumpers. She has a rare combination of strength and agility for a kid that stands over 6-feet tall. Her footwork allows her to manuever through traffic when other posts and forwards are a step slow. Her back to the basket game continues to progress while she also has range on her jumper. Now at this camp we noticed that her balance on her jumper was slightly off. Leaning to the side or backward made her consistency awry. Fixing that heading into the month of July should be of top priority for her.
Myles is a promising prospect who has grown in size and in skill since our last evaluation in 2014. She is a strong, physical power forward who can defend and rebound on the interior. She complements that force with skill to score inside and out. She showed post moves with her back to the basket and range on her jumper. She can be compared to NC State freshman forward, Erica Cassell, in size and stature. However, Myles is showing more face up skill than Cassell did at the same age. The challenge for Myles moving forward will be to bring her perimeter defensive game to equal her offense. Working on her footowork and lateral quickness will help her become a complete player.
Myles is a promising young post player who showed the specialty to score around the bucket. She has the size and strength to be a dominating presence. Her challenge will be to work on her conditioning and foot speed.
