Atkins is a skilled guard who makes plays on the offensive end. She showed her ball skill to handle the ball with either hand. She back dribbled out of trouble and delivered transition passes with her off hand showing that she is a skilled young guard. Her jump shot goes in. Although her release tends to drift to the left, it is consistent. However, the most impressive part of her game - for her age - is her off ball awareness. She moves to open spaces when she does not have the ball. She boxes out when shots go up. Atkins seems to have an understanding of how the game is supposed to be played when she does not have the ball. Currently listed as a combo guard, she is a tad small for the position. Standing at 5-7 she is too short, however she will face players that are bigger, stronger, faster than her in upcoming years. Making that adjustment will be key for her.
