Whitner has been on our staff's collective radar back to the beginning of the decade. She's a shotmaker with length on the perimeter. Her ability to shoot the 3-pointer at a 33-37 percent clip will be a big determinent of her next level success. Whitner has the length and mobility to be an effective position defender on the other end of the floor. She is a potential elite level academic recruit as well. Whitner could go anywhere in America in that aspect so expect that to play a part in her decision process. Her overall game will grow as she gets stronger physically over the next 12 months. Whitner is an athletic guard who gets it done on both ends of the court. Her long limbs and quick feet lead our staff to believe that her best days of basketball are still ahead of her. During the camp she proved to be tough defender and a fast transition finisher. Whitner will need to continue to polish her offensive skill set as she matures. Working on her left-handed passing will be a good place to start. -- Coach Hemi

Based on what I saw here during the Spotlight Session, Whitner has a world of opportunity. She is only scratching the surface of where she can go with the game. Whitner was able to pick up whatever concept was being taught in a quick fashion. Continuing to get quality reps is key.
