Kast is a wing-forward with size and ball skill. She proved her versatility on the perimeter by handling and shooting the jumper with confidence. When the interior opened, she was quick to duck onto the block and post up. She used confidence in vision and ball handling to find open players with the pass. Working on playing lower in a stance should be a priority for her to become more explosive both with her back to the basket and when facing up.
Kast works hard on the interior posting up and fighting for position on the low block. She is not a true back to the basket player but she does impact in that category and with mismatches has the tools to convert. She took the ball off the bounce into a runner in the center of the key and converted it. Look for her to make an impact as a swing player between the 3 and 4 positions. She has the opportunity to stretch the perimeter, but also post up a smaller guard. Creating angles on the block early will help her pin her defender and make her scoring more effective. She plays through a lot of contact and that alone will get her at the foul line.
