When left open, Fox consistently demonstrated she can knock down jumpers. She took directives well, actively contributing to her team's offense by setting screens, making cuts, and moving intentionally without the basketball. Fox also made a few aggressive drives against the closeout to get to the rim, showing she could attack when needed. Defensively, she plays with effort and purpose, utilizing her quickness effectively. As she continues to grow in her game and development, it will be important for her to become more assertive.
- - Range
Fox is yet to play a high school game but her game is already starting to take form. She has all the makings of an elite perimeter defender. She was dialed in both on the ball and playing in gaps and passing lanes both days of camp. Offensively she really works to get easy looks, especially in transition. There was rarely a possession she wasn’t out in front on the break. She showed some craftiness beating a good closeout with a shot fake lift to get downhill into her pull-up. Consistency on her jumper is an area we think will take her game to the next level.
Fox's standout attribute is her exceptional motor, driving her active defensive presence and disruptive play in passing lanes. Her aggressive approach on defense contributes to her ability to create turnovers. As a gritty guard, she showcases toughness and a determined attitude on the court. While she displays promising mechanics on her shot, refining the consistency and quickness of her shot release could enhance her overall offensive effectiveness.
Fox hit a catch and shoot jumper from beyond the arc early but needs time and space to score right now. Being ready before the catch will help her. She found open teammates often. She was strong and balanced with good jump stops and scanning for teammates when she picked the ball up. She has some natural shift that will only help her more as her ballhandling advances. She showed good understanding of weakside help and being in position on time for her team.
