McVicker is a guard in the 2019 class that we've become very familiar with over the last couple of years. Her left hand dribble and penetration going left this weekend was particulary lethal scoring at the rim. She was very efficient on the perimeter usually only making one hard move before losing her defender and getting all the way to the basket and used the floater when she needed to slow up. She played with great vision, a high IQ, and was competing at a high level making plays. Her scoring impact was high because she was relentless the whole game which was impressive to see because she kept attacking even when certain angles were cut off. McVicker is a capable 3-point shooter, but adding more range consistency and quickness to her game will only make her overall game that much more dynamic. She was everywhere this past weekend on the floor and when the ball was in her hands, good things happened.
McVicker is a class of 2019 guard that excels as a facilitator and scorer. She is a shooting specialist that can knock down the 1-2 step 3-ball with range. She hit several shots from deep, as well as 1-2 step shots under pressure. McVicker has the ability to get her feet set in transition as well as in the half court which is a sure recipe for her shooting impact. She works hard to get the job done whether its on offense or defense. Going forward, needs to improve on her change of speed and be more assertive. She showed strong attack at the rim and over the course of the weekend, she proved to be valuable on both ends of the floor, whether its getting steals or navigating the offense. She had multiple scenarios where she just made something big happen in the game to keep momentum on her side.
