Darling has good size with a strong frame and moves exceptionally well without the basketball. She is a smart and savvy passer, consistently finding open teammates and facilitating offensive flow. Her smooth midrange jumper was effective, and she knocked down open shots from range in transition. One area for improvement is her defensive foot speed, particularly when it comes to changing directions, decelerating, and accelerating to keep up with quicker players.
Darling's athleticism is exceptional and it's especially evident in her role as an excellent perimeter defender. Her ability to explode off the dribble with a quick first step enables her to navigate past defenders and finish strongly around the rim. Her shooting mechanics are solid, highlighted by a smooth release and a well-executed follow-through. While she shows promise in her shot, maintaining consistent accuracy could be an area for growth. Nevertheless, her ability to maintain a balanced pace and poise on the court is commendable, as she allows the game to unfold naturally and avoids making hurried decisions.
