Galvan is a tough ball handler who is showing a blossoming ability to score the ball. During competition play at the academy, Galvan was able to deliver the ball on time on target to her teammates. When the defense overexerted their pressure upon her, she was also able to get downhill to score the ball in the lane. Her ability to change pace and use hesitation moves were particularly effective in this viewing. She was also confident in going either direction with the ball as well. Galvan’s jumper is solid. However, focusing on keeping her wrist snap straight towards the rim should be a focal point in her workouts to gain more consistency from range. – Coach Hemi
Galvan is a skilled guard with good bounce in her legs. She is quick off the dribble. She proved that she can use ball fakes to set up her drives to the hole. When she gets to the lane, Galvan is tough. She can take the bump and finish. Her jumper is very solid as well. She hit multiple jumpers in this evaluation and proved to be solid from range. Her ability to handle with either hand is a good indicator that she can be a lead handler in the future. As quick as Galvan is, most of her dribble moves shifted the defense left-right. Working on her game to make sure she is creating north / south will be important for her overall production.
