Subbert is a young post prospect whose weekend performance signaled significant long-term upside. Operating at both ends of ball screen action, Subbert created matchup problems that defenses struggled to solve, equally comfortable initiating as the handler or setting the screen and rolling behind it. Her hands are reliable, and her feel for the game shows up in her ability to grab a defensive board and push the pace herself rather than waiting for a guard to bring it up. Mobility paired with her frame makes her difficult to guard, and her motor never dipped, even when entries into the post were late or slightly off target. The next step in her development is extending her range to the perimeter, which would make her offensive game even harder to contain.
