Berg is a veteran CMO player and is one we've grown quite familiar with over the last few years. Her strength and assertiveness are two areas that have improved over the last year. With the ball in her hand, she is starting to create more space for herself with her dribble to release pressure from the defender. Her shot sports a quicker release and her range has grown as well. Continuing to focus on consistency in her shot as well as a focus on bringing command to the floor when she is running the point guard position are things she can keep developing. It can be noted she had more confidence as a facilitator and really kept her head up and made good reads to the post on the interior.
Berg has shown on numerous occasions she can’t be forgotten or left open on the floor because she will dominate that three point line if opposing defenses let her. She’s a smaller guard with a high IQ, but developing confidence and being more assertive off the dribble will be key for her progress going forward. She knows how to play within a system and amongst strong skilled players. She moves well without the basketball and is showing a much better feel for the game. Moving forward, Berg can continue to increase her strength, power and diversify her ability to create plays off the dribble. Overall, Berg improves each outing and has positioned herself to be a threat on the perimeter from beyond the arc.

| Berg is a young, developing class of 2019 point guard that has improved tremendously since we last saw her at the Check Me Out Midwest. Her court vision and facilitation within the offense was something we saw her do more this last August. She was taking more chances and a little more confident in her decision making. In the Midwest, ball handling was something Berg needed to improve on and she has worked on her attack since then. It really showed the way she was getting to areas to make passes or get others involved, if she wasn't going all the way in for a lay-up. Offensively, Berg can knock down shots from the perimeter and is most consistent when she has good rhythm into the one-two step 3-pointer. Going forward, Berg needs to be more vocal and continue to gain more strength, which will mostly come with age. Berg is very coachable and has opportunity to grow into a true point guard, by facilitating her teammates, but also being able to score from the perimeter. |
