Richey is a dynamic guard who plays the game the right way. This was my first time on the floor training with her. During the session, we talked about her ability to make plays off the bounce. Richey is in good shape as a prospect playing on or off the basketball. In a gym full of high-level talent in Fort Wayne, Richey more than held her own. She does a little of everything and brings activity to the defensive end of the hardwood as well. Richey changed schools over the summer and is now at Westville. The next step in Richey’s game is not overthinking any single offensive possession. When she gets sped up on a read, Richey might pass up an open shot or quick kick to a teammate. That’s an area she’ll continue to gain more confidence in as she gains more and more reps at it. She’ll play alongside another high-level classmate all school season in Hillary Labis.
