Phillips has really grown her game the last 12 months. She missed court time during the 2022 summer and has bounced right back like she never missed a day. Even though Phillips has chosen High Point, she is still in the gym with our staff as if she is out to earn a roster spot. Especially given the fact that Phillips closed her school career with over 1,500 points, that work ethic is noteworthy. A multi-faceted basketball player, Phillips brings both skill and toughness to the floor. Add that to her shot making and the foundation is there for her to have a solid collegiate career. -- Brandon Clay / @BrandonClayPSB
Phillips is an athletic combo guard who has a strong base of skills at an early age. She demonstrated her ability to hit the open jumper and handle the ball well versus pressure. She projects to be a prospect who can play either guard position. She can the offense as a floor general or run off screens as an off-guard. Her lateral quickness should allow her to defend multiple positions along the perimeter as well. Tightening up her weak hand passing is a must. Finding confidence in delivering the ball to teammates with a quick left-hand pass is essential for handling versus the top defenders moving forward. -- Coach Hemi
Phillips is a young guard who is just getting her feet underneath her as a prospect. Despite her youth, she showed confidence as a do-it-all type player. She has an athletic frame and the potential to be able to impact the game in several ways. She seems enjoy playing defense as well, which is something that many coaches will love in the future. Her challenge moving forward will be to develop her offensive game in ways that she can have a specialty.
Phillips is a young guard with a world of promise and potential. Her athleticism, size and feel for the game point to bright things for her in the future. She excelled at playing in transition during the 5/5 game portion of camp. A capable shooter already, Phillips can even improve in this area by working on getting a higher follow through on her jump shot. – Coach Hemi
Phillips was a new face for our staff at the PSBPower48. She followed up a solid performance there in her age group with more of the same against kids with multiple years on her. Phillips size and skill will translate just fine over time as she gets more and more accustomed to elite individual settings like these. She can play any of the three perimeter positions already. That gift will serve her well in her long-term development. – Brandon Clay
