Kameehonua is a class of 2018 point guard who made her first appearance at the Check Me Out from Mililani, HI. She impressed early on with her energy and with her ball handling rhythm and drill focus. When we got in to game play, as to be expected, she had a high basketball IQ and command on the floor. Playing quick 4-on-4 games can be chaotic, so finding players who can be composed in this environment is a huge skill. Kameehonua is a glue player and really brought the leadership aspect to her team. She is capable of knocking down the 1-2 step 3-ball, but dialing in more consistency from range will be key for her development going forward. She showed she can finish well in traffic mostly going left and had good shift. Overall, was an impressive distributing guard that understands how to manage and play within the flow of the game really well.
