Dover offers teams a unique blend of skills, providing the versatility to play as a shot blocker, rebounder, and interior defender while also stretching the floor offensively from the perimeter. Her disruptive length allows her to alter shots and rebound beyond her immediate area, making her a significant defensive presence. Dover can handle the ball, operate effectively out of the high post, and contribute both on the perimeter and inside. To further elevate her game, she could focus on becoming more physical and assertive inside, which would enhance her impact as a dominant force in the paint.
One thing that jumps out since we last saw Dover is her improved ball skill and confidence with the ball in her hands. With her length and size this is a huge boon as it leads towards more versatility and mismatches. Her perimeter shooting is also trending up. She’s grown since we last saw her which makes the next area for her improvement hard to nail down as getting stronger and more physical is next. The overall improvement in those two key offensive skill areas is impressive and when the ability to finish through contact catches up she’ll be a matchup nightmare.
Dover's exceptional length and agility make her a standout performer, particularly as a small forward/wing. Her height and reach provide her with an advantage, allowing her to be a threat from beyond the arc and stretch the floor. Her athleticism is a highlight, showcasing her ability to move fluidly and navigate the court effectively. Her skills extend to rebounding, ball handling, and driving to the rim, making her a versatile player who can contribute in various aspects of the game.
Dover is long and bouncy with her athleticism. For her size she got low and was solid handling the ball. She talks to her teammates on the floor and was really receptive to coaching. Good touch around the basket. Needs reps because you can see some talent. Once we got to full court play she showed she could grab a rebound and advance in transition. She also hit a nice three off the dribble. She was aggressive off the bounce and finished with contact a few times. We’d really love to see her master change of pace and take her ability to attack to another level.
