I enjoyed getting to sit with the MacBook and spend time breaking down Maslar’s on floor production. With the way the game is being played today, there’s a premium on shot makers especially on the corner 3-pointer. That was on full display last night in the New York Knicks against the San Antonio Spurs game down to the one OG Anunoby hit in the final seconds that almost sent the game to overtime. Maslar’s ability to make that specific shot is a potential separator from her peers. Her overall offensive game is a blend of crafty plays and shifty moves. She’s more than capable of handling the basketball to initiate the offense. That said, Maslar can also spend time off the basketball too. She plays the game with a pace and feel that is beyond her years. She’s a willing passer and makes good decisions in transition or in the halfcourt offense. That skill set translated to success with her school team this season as they were crowned North Coast Conference Champions down the homestretch. There’s a lot to like about where Maslar is already in her journey.
