Pimentel is a strong passing guard who uses her basketball IQ to set up her teammates. Her overall skill level is ahead of many players at her at this camp. Her willingness to work hard in drills shined in this setting. She came ready to work and it paid off for her. Pimentel's unselfishness is her strength; however she will need to make sure that she does not become too unselfish. Showing that she can create plays for herself will be important as well.
Pimentel, 5'6 guard in the 2021 class. Offensively, she is a true facilitator on the floor and looks to get teammates involved in actions. She is engaged and is not afraid to take initiative. Her communication with her teammates is an aspect of her game that really stood out over the weekend. In the lane, she can get to the rim, but needs to look for that happy medium spot where she can stop and pop to get a clean look at the rim. Developing a consistent 1-2 step shot from range needs to be a consistent part of her game because she has a really smooth release point on her shot already in her arsenal. Consistently knocking down shots from range will add a whole dynamic to her game because it will give her facilitating game more depth and keep defenses honest. Opening up the lane, by stretching the defense is an approach that will amount to more looks at the rim and pressure on the defense. Overall, Pimentel has a savvy point guard feel that translates well to a floor leader for her team.
