Akins is a versatile perimeter player whose size and bounce allow her to impact the game in ways that go beyond traditional ball-handling duties. Akins plays with a relentless motor, consistently finding her way to loose balls, deflections, and rebounds that put her in the middle of winning plays. Her length shows up on the glass, where she times her pursuits well and converts put-backs, and off the ball she reads gaps in the defense, slashing and relocating to generate easy baskets without needing the ball in her hands. That constant activity creates chaos for opponents on both ends. As she continues to develop, adding strength will help her finish through contact and hold up physically against bigger, more established competition.
