For a middle school prospect, Voelz has a smooth jump shot already. Voelz is a consistent shot maker when she’s got her feet set. Every shot looks the same when it leaves her hands. Whether it’s a corner 3-pointer or free throw, Voelz’s shooting form looks the same regardless of where she’s letting the basketball go from on the floor. That’s a place where Voelz can hang her proverbial hat as a specialty skill going forward. When the defense closes out with a high hand, Voelz is willing to attack the lane off the bounce. In that regard, she is a versatile piece who in this new era of the game can be a true Swiss Army Knife as a frontcourt option. Voelz has been hard at work on her basketball handling ability. In the halfcourt set, Voelz will need to be crisp with her skill to get the type of shots off that allow her to be impactful as she gets older. The skill foundation and week-to-week work ethic are both there. – Brandon Clay / @BrandonClayPSB
