This was my first time sitting to watch film on Foy’s game. She’s a talented scorer who can find her way to a bucket. Whether it’s from beyond the arc, in the midrange or around the rim, Foy has the skill set to be a factor putting the basketball in the net. She has numerous scholarship offers due to her play the last 12 months. Expect that to continue the next 12 if Foy continues to build on her game. She has the skill needed to be effective in high or side pick and roll action. I also think that Foy could be effective in pin down screen action where she comes off the screen into a varying series of cuts to catch looking to play make. Foy’s ability to be a high level on the basketball defender can be a separator. Above all things, that would be the single area I would encourage her to take a full leap in during the next calendar year. Foy has the physical gifts to be a producer on both ends of the hardwood. Foy is a strong, athletic 5’10 guard who leverages her frame to be highly effective in transition and attacking the rim. She has the versatility to play on or off the ball, using her physicality and athleticism to create scoring opportunities. A confident midrange producer, she connects on tough shots and provides her team with a reliable scoring option.
To reach the next level of impact, she will need to become more consistent overall and refine her decision-making to maximize efficiency and effectiveness.
Foy is an athletic, playmaking guard who is slithery and difficult to guard, particularly in space and pace, where she thrives. She excels on defense, showcasing her disruptiveness, and shoots the ball well from range. Foy frequently attacked the basket and finished effectively. One area for improvement is driving and finishing with her left hand, as most of her finishes were with her right. Developing this will make her an even more versatile offensive threat.
