ProspectsNation.com has updated the ELITE 150 rankings for the 2025 and 2026 classes heading into the scholastic season. The 2027 top 25 will be released later this fall.
The 2025 class has a familiar face at No. 1 with Aaliyah Chavez of Lubbock, Texas, having another impressive summer. Looking ahead to the 2027 class there’s very little doubt that Kaleena Smith of Perris, California, hold the top spot. The 2026 class, however, is very much up for debate.
In 2026 there is no big me, but there’s at least a big three.
ProspectsNation.com currently has Saniyah Hall of Lorain, Ohio, in the top spot. She is followed by recent Overtime Select MVP Kate Harpring of Atlanta, Georgia, and previous top spot holder Jerzy Robinson of Woodland Hills, California.
Those three aren’t the only players in contention either. The true five-star players in the class continue on with Oliviyah Edwards of Tacoma, Washington, McKenna Woliczko of San Bruno, California, and Olivia Vukosa of Whitestone, New York. There could be more in the mix in this class as some high profile players return from injury.
Interestingly Hall, Harpring, Edwards and Vukosa didn’t play with USA Basketball U17 national 5-on-5 team this summer, which is typically a harbinger of top ranking. Robinson, who did play USA Basketball, opted out of the club circuit this summer. All of this, collectively, makes this class that much more fluid and interesting to follow.
RECRUITING SLOWS DOWN
There are a lot of factors impacting the pace of recruiting right now. The emphasis on the transfer portal is clearly showing. As is the top players taking more time in their process, many of which are vetting not only fit but finances with the NIL era in full swing.
Signing week is in a mere two months yet three of the six of the 2025’s top 10 remain undecided. In 2026 only one player currently slotted in the ELITE 150 discussion has committed.
MOVERS AND SHAKERS
There wasn’t a ton of movement in the top 60 of the ELITE 150 for the 2025 class. Two Canadians made moves with Agot Makeer moving up two spots to No. 7 and Deniya Prawl moving up seven spots to No. 10.
In 2026, Harpring is the biggest mover at the top coming off a stellar summer. Olivia Jones of Brookville, New York, and Ashlyn Koupal of Wagner, South Dakota, are the highest ranked players not previously in the top 25.
RANKINGS NEXT STEPS
The 2025 class will continue to expand this fall and into the group’s senior season on it’s way to a complete ELITE 150.
The 2026 class will build towards another expansion this winter, growing from 40 to 60 and further expanding the number of players in the overall ELITE 150.
The 2027 class will move from a Watch List to a top 25 later this fall as well.
