After a busy month in the Film Room that included new evals on prospects in multiple states coast-to-coast, our staff is hard at work producing Player Cards for what we’ve seen. Here is a look at a few of the latest Class of 2025 evaluations from the past week as well as a couple of Watch List additions:
NEWEST BRANDON CLAY FILM ROOM EVALUATIONS
Ellison’s game has grown each year dating back to the first Film Room eval I had on her game back in 2020.
“From my first Film Room evaluation over four years ago until today, Ellison's growth and maturation are worth celebrating. Her footwork is both crisp and consistent. She understands what she needs to do on a daily basis to improve then goes and gets it done. Ellison's shot mechanics are also a place of real growth for her since 2020. She's become a consistent outside shooting option. Ellison is at a place in her game where she can take the next step by creating space on offense with her movements. Being in constant motion outside of spotting to wait on a corner kick 3-pointer is the next step in her growth.” -- Brandon Clay / @BrandonClayPSB
Jaekel is leading the way as one of the premier guards inside a quality rising senior class in the state of Oregon.
“This was my first time breaking down film on Jaekel. ProspectsNation.com Managing Editor, Chris Hansen, has raved about her game from his Elite Is Earned events. He's dead on based on what I saw jump at me in the Film Room. Jaekel is both an outside shot maker as well as a willing attacker off the bounce getting two feet into the paint. On the defensive end of the floor, Jaekel is active and bouncy. Her effort on that end really caught my attention. In an era where everyone is looking to score the ball, Jaekel's commitment to also playing defense was refreshing. As she continues to get physically stronger, look for Jaekel to be an even more effective and efficient presence on the offensive end as a result. The tools and skill set are already there.” -- Brandon Clay / @BrandonClayPSB
Like Jaekel, Monte’s game and shotmaking ability has put her in the upper tier of prospects inside the state of Oregon.
“In this initial Film Room Evaluation on Monte, it was very apparent that she can get to her spots early and often to make a play. She has multiple scholarship offers already for good reason. It's easy to see why based on her skill set. Breaking down the video, Monte can make the open 3-pointer at a consistent clip. It doesn't feel like a stretch at all to project her as a mid to high 30 percent shotmaker in that regard at the collegiate level. Add that floor spacing ability to Monte's willingness to attack and finish at the rim going left and there's a combination that not many in the state of Oregon can match. As she grows her game from here, Monte can focus on bringing that same attack mode and finishing capability to the right side of the floor as well. Being able to get to either hand to finish in traffic would elevate her scoring prowess to yet another level” -- Brandon Clay / @BrandonClayPSB
2026 WATCH LIST ADDITIONS
Leach has garnered double digit scholarship offers already as we make our way into the summer months.
“Leach is a consistent shotmaker from beyond the arc. In addition to her shooting prowess, she has good strength at the combo guard position. Leach has really focused on her overall offensive basketball skill the last nine months working with Thomas Davis on her handle. Davis, who has trained multiple All-Americans and high level prospects, skill development work is evident in Leach finishing at the rim with high pickups into layups. Leach was named Player of the Year in her league. Going forward, adding the ability to consistently quarterback a team with her voice and non-verbal commands will only enhance her game.” -- Brandon Clay / @BrandonClayPSB
Lockhart’s profile continues to grow with the changing of each season. She’s garnering all types of interest as a result.
“In multiple Film Room evaluations over the past 4 years, it's evident that Lockhart's growth is related directly to her work ethic. Her shooting touch provides a versatility that most prospects in her size range don't possess. Lockhart's footwork is developing at a rate that I would have projected back then based on the film which is allowing her to apply pressure on opposing defenses. There's another level of Lockhart's skill set to unpack using the post series that Anthony Edwards is currently making so popular amongst backcourt players. Before him, Kobe, MJ & even Carmelo all utilized it to hunt for scoring chances against smaller or slower defenders.” -- Brandon Clay / @BrandonClayPSB
