Spike is a skilled point guard with a natural feel for the game and the ability to control tempo. She plays with poise, showing excellent court vision, and uses her shiftiness — changes of pace and direction — to create advantages. She rarely looks rushed, operating with composure and efficiency. Off the ball, she has added value by improving as a catch-and-shoot threat, spacing the floor and keeping defenses honest. Her selectiveness and patience in balancing scoring with facilitation reflect her growth as a lead guard.
For continued development, defensive footwork and on-ball tenacity will be key areas to refine, allowing her to match her offensive impact on the defensive end.
Spike has an exceptional feel for the game, especially for her age. She is savvy, highly intelligent, well-coached, and skilled, making her a standout playmaking guard. Spike is crafty with the ball, capable of creating scoring opportunities for both herself and her teammates. She is a versatile scorer, able to finish at the rim, hit midrange shots, and connect from beyond the arc. Notably, she is right-handed but prefers to shoot from a left-hand pocket, often favoring shots off the dribble to her left. While she excels offensively, she could work on improving her defense against quicker guards.
Spike was one of the youngest kids in camp but her competitive and leadership was on par with any of the upperclassmen. Her vision and ability to deliver the ball to teammates was off the charts. She was carving up defenses in ball screen action. She changed pace, found angles and was surgical with the delivery of the basketball. She has terrific feel for the game and seemed to understand what the right play was and was willing to make that decision consistently. She passes it well in She finished through contact, was willing to mix it up with bigger players. She shot it well well in the mid-range and hit multiple 3-pointers in game action as well.
