This was our third time on the floor with Shaw in the last six months. She is doing a really good job of holding a high one second followthrough through the completion of her shot. It was also evident that Shaw has been working on keeping her feet inline with her shoulders on her outside shot. Those two improvements are major keys as Shaw prepares for her final season on the club circuit. She's shooting at a high level from out beyond the arc like she did in the fall. We noted that it looks like Shaw is flicking the basketball with ease from as far as 24 feet. That still holds true today. Keep an eye on her left wrist breaking down as she finishes her shot. We worked with Shaw for the first time in Oklahoma City last month and love her potential, upside. In this setting, Xavier Johnson and I were able to really breakdown scoring with the modern day Carmelo Anthony / Jayson Tatum package with Shaw. She has the skill to make defenses pay from beyond the arc then counter with a mid post or pinch post touch to get into the lane and finish. That capability is unique especially in the women's game. The next step is reading the second line help to determine what read to make. In addition, we believe that Shaw can be a 50/40/90 caliber producer shooting the ball. -- Brandon Clay
Shaw was impressive in Oklahoma City in a similar fashion to my evaluation from USA Basketball in Memphis to end the summer. In that regard, Shaw's willingness to play hard on both ends and floor spacing ability is a unique quality in the 2025 Class as a whole. Shaw has the ability and talent to assert herself as a consistent scorer from the perimeter and the mid or pinch post. -- Brandon Clay
Shaw is a fantastic shot making option with college level size already. A left-handed shooter, she is a simple and compact shooting motion that is a literal flick of the wrist. Shaw's ability to make shots from beyond the arc is a separator. As she keeps adding to her bag with good footwork, expect her shooting range and consistency to keep expanding accordingly. -- Brandon Clay
