Ruud, a 6-foot forward out of Pasco, Wash, has a strong presence on the interior on both ends of the floor. She showed good timing blocking shots on guards penetrating the lane. Making sure she keeps both hands off the offensive players hip, will eliminate the referee's ability to make a judgement call on fouls. During breakdowns, had a good session improving her footwork off the block. On the right side, she turns to angle at the basket well and uses her strength to power up. Her footwork on the interior is sound, but developing her drop steps and feeling out how the defender is playing her, will be an area for her to grow her tactics in as she has that ability to be a consistent scoring threat inside. Only in the class of 2025 and she is already displaying a well practiced midrange jumper with great rotation on her shot. Her confidence is evident in her midrange and knocked down one at the top of the key. Overall, Ruud protects the ball well around the basket, values possessions and has a huge upside going into high school basketball, even with a couple more years before she laces up on that stage.
