Bass is a 5'6 guard in the 2023 class. Offensively, she is still developing her command on the perimeter as a young guard, but she showed good ball skills and is making that transition from the middle school to high school level well. Focusing on developing her shot from the top of the key to the wing will give allow her to be more of a scoring threat on the offensive end. She will take open looks with time and space, which is awesome to see her be assertive at times and I think her growth will be well shown after another year playing against a higher physicality of basketball. It will allow her to develop one more year of strength and confidence to nagivate the perimeter and run the offense. Watching her compete was fun and she does look to attack the rim, which is key to being a threat from the back court position because it opens up assist opportunities to get everyone involved and take her own looks in the rim. Overall, Bass had a good weekend of growing her skill set and it will be greeat to compare the growth this time next year.
Bass is a young 5'4 guard in the 2023 class that has good ball skills. She has range to the 3-point line, but what stood out most about her offensive play was her ability to navigate the paint with her shiftiness. She has good ball control and a really nice crossover that gives her separation and space on the floor. Continuing to build consistency with more reps beyond the arc will be key to her scoring impact, because she already possesses a lot of confidence with the ball in her hands and wants to make things happen at the rim. Adding more strength will also help her take more contact in the lane and be able to defend physical guards on the other end of the floor.
