Poling is a 5-foot-11 wing player that brings strength and presence to both ends of the floor. Defensively, she is able to defend on the interior and the perimeter, which is a huge assest for any team with that kind of versatility. Offensively, it was great to see her score from beyond the arc from the trail 4 position and looked really comfortable with her 1-2 step 3-ball in that setting. Her guard-like offensive tendencies bode really well for her against slower post players in that position because they are not able to contest her in that particular environment. Where she can look to exploit offensively when she is matched up against smaller guards is in the interior. If she can develop her scoring off the block or even in the midrange, defending her size will be a huge opportunity for her to go to work and seize the advantage. Overall, only in the class of 2019, Poling has a huge amount of upside that she can dial in on with more urgency and command, that could pair really well with her already proven skill set.
