Amos came to camp in great physical shape. It appears that she has committed to sculpting her body and making it ready for competition. On the skill side of her game, she continues to polish her skill set and add new pieces. She showed a nice 'Euro-Step' through traffic in game play. This type of confidence speaks volumes of the work that she has put in the years since we first saw her. Amos has shown a solid jumper in evaluations past, however there is still room for improvement there. Her release appeared to be a little low, which kept the arc on her shot too flat. Fixing that technique will help her add consistent range on her jump shot.
Amos is a guard who is improving her confidence as a combo-guard. She is shooting the ball well and showing ball handling skills that are advanced from the last time we evaluated her a year ago. She showed a step back jumper in drills and in game play, which shows that she is becoming more comfortable in converting skills into competitive action. Her challenge now will be to add full time point guard skills for the future. Working on the 'dribble-to-pass' skill and making that a smoother transition should help in that area.
Jeide is a solid guard with good fundamentals. She showed the ability to hit the open jumper in drills and games. She also showed an advanced skill set by finishing in transition with her weak hand. The challenge for Amos in the future months will be to find an area where she can affect the game consistently. She can play in a high level setting, but finding a way to be a difference maker at a high level will be her challenge.

Amos is a fundamental guard who showed her hustle and tenacity at the Showcase Camp in March. Her ability to defend will give her value on what ever team she plays for in the future. At the same time she has the fundamentals needed to contribute on the offensive end. Her ability to find the open player and hit the open shot are important skills in her development. The next step for Jeide in years to come will be to define an offensive specialty. Will she be a point guard or can she become a play-making shooting guard? Given the energy that she displayed in this camp, we expect to see progress in future evaluations.
