Pitsch is a 5'6 guard in the 2020 class that is a capable floor general and loves to take charge on the court. She handles the ball well at the top of the key, can make reads in a variety of settings in the half court, and is a true competitor. When you look at Pitsch's game as a whole, one of the biggest impacts you'll see out of her is the way she rises to the occasion and lives for competition on the floor. If the team needs a steal, someone to make a pass in a set, or take the big shot on the perimeter, PItsch is willing to take in those moments. Going forward, continuing to develop footspeed, and control around the rim are things she can continue to work on in her arsenal. She's developed a lot of strength over the last few years, so focusing on using her strength to take balanced shots in the lane are well within her skill set.
Pitsch is a guard in the 2020 class with a very savvy approach to the game. She is a very crafty guard and has a calming presense with the ball in her hand. She understands the game well and within it, is able to make reads at the rim. She showed she has a floater in her arsenal and she has range from the perimeter. Developing more foot speed and staying up on her conditioning is key for her because when she is able to find a rhythm on the floor from the perimeter or in the midrange, she is a tough one to lock down. Defensively, she needs to be a little more engaged and involved in the rebounding aspect, but overall, she follows good principles. Overall, Pitsch is a player with a lot of upside because she can do a lot of different things offensively and is a good option to have the ball in her hands running the offense.
Pitsch did an impressive job of constantly keeping the pressure on the defense by attacking the rim. She had several back to back scenarios where she was full steam to the basket because of her initiative to score. Going to the rim, she uses her body well when she gets a lane to the basket, and protects the ball. She has good footwork going into her 1-2 dribble pull-up. Where she can improve on is her release and consistency, which will come with more reps. Overall, her confidence and mindset to stay in attack mode is one of the great things about her play that she should continue to build on over the next few years.
