Jones is a 5'8 guard in the 2017 class with a strong floor presence. She showed that she can create space off the dribble, and is capable of making smart decisions with the ball in her hand. Jones pushes the ball well in transition and served as a good facilitator for her team. She is a defensive specialist and made key defensive plays down the stretch. Jones is a player we have seen a lot of and she always competes every posession and pushes hard in drill work and in games. She needs to continue to develop her shooting consistency in the midrange, but overall, she continues to progress in her ball-handling and court presence each outing. Really like her feel for the game and her ability to make things happen.
| Jones is a veteran Check Me Out Showcase player and continues to get better each outing. Her shot looked as comfortable as we have ever seen it. She knocked down a couple nice jumpers in the mid-range and showed her range hiting a 3 beyond the arc. Jones skill set is coming along nicely. Her ball-handling has gotten better and her handle looked tight in the skill work portion of camp. Going forward, Jones needs to focus on her awareness out on the court. If she can show more command and court leadership, that will help her be able to impact more games. Overall, a very coachable kid and still only a 2017. |
