MARIETTA, Ga., - The second weekend of April means that the travel season is in full swing. The Preseason Shootout kicked off on Friday evening with many teams getting a warm-up with exhibition games. Here is a look at which individuals were primed for a productive spring viewing period.

Class of 2016 guard Bailey Kargo of Greensboro, N.C., showed multiple talents this weekend. She knows how to score the ball and create opportunities for her teammates. The 5-foot-10 guard puts in time at both a point and shooting guard positions.

Class of 2017 wing Maya Longacre of Atlanta, Ga., plays with energy for Team Power. Standing at 5-10, she has the ability to affect the game on both ends of the floor. She is a versatile player that can play well in transition and in the halfcourt.

Coach Trish Grant has a point guard of the future with class of 2018 Amaya Tucker of Salem, N.C. Tucker showed maturity beyond her years by showing poise under pressure. Her jumper is also a promising tool that she can use in the years ahead.

The Georgia Hoopstars are developing a go-to player in Jonnae’ Johnson of Dacula, Ga. The 5-9 guard is a good athlete, which is accentuated by a high motor. Look for Johnson’s name to be mentioned often in future months.

Class of 2018 Audrey Jordan of Kennesaw, Ga., is a prospect of promise. The 5-10 guard showed versatility as a ball handler and a defender. Her size and skill set will make her a player to watch in future years.

Taniyah Worth of Flowery Branch, Ga., is a forward with a high athletic ceiling. The 5-11 forward proved to be a legitimate inside-outside threat. Worth blocked multiple shots in the lane while also finishing effectively in transition.

Identifying quality point guards at a young age is an important exercise for college coaches and evaluators alike. Mark down Ryleigh Fritz of White Pine, Tenn., as a solid handler in the class of 2018. Her decision making and ability to make plays with the ball is noteworthy.
