No. 15 Parker To Louisville

No. 15 Parker To Louisville
Ramani Parker

This week is all about the number 2 for Louisville.  The Cardinals moved up to No. 2 in the AP poll for the first time in school history.  Jeff Walz and his staff also secured their second commitment in the 2019 class Monday as well in Ramani Parker.

Parker, a 6-foot-4 forward from Fresno, California, currently is ranked as the No. 15 junior by ProspectsNation.com.  She joins the top ranked player in 2019, Nyah Green of Allen, Texas, in Louisville’s recruiting class.  With two players ranked in the top 15, including the five-star rated Green, Walz and his staff have an early lead in the recruiting race for top class in the country.

“Parker has had a major run the past 12 months, starting at USA Trials all the way through a marquee match-up against Exodus NYC EYBL PSBFamily on July 26th at PSBPower48,” Brandon Clay, the CEO of the JumpOffPlus.com International Report, said.  “Her versatility especially in the open floor is impressive. She handled the ball on the break, even stopping to shoot a pull up 3-pointer. That diverse skill set should lend itself well to the up-tempo pace that the Cardinals like to employ. Parker can continue to grow from time in the weight room and continued physical maturation. That said, all of the pieces are in place for her to be a big time contributor during her time in Louisville.”

This terrific start to the 2019 class comes at a good time as the class would come in after the projected graduation of Asia Durr, Sam Fuehring and Arica Carter and the year before Myisha Hines-Allen is set to finish school as well.  This 2019 group will join the Cardinals’ 2018 signing class of Mykasa Robinson, Seygan Robins and Molly Lockhart.  ProspectsNation.com ranks Louisville’s 2018 class as No. 22 in the nation.
