Ellis Picks Stetson
Adriana Ellis

Stetson coach Lynn Bria and her staff added a potential impact commitment in the 2017 class when Adrianna Ellis of Winter Springs, Fla., made a verbal pledge to the Atlantic Sun Conference school.  Ellis, who is rated as a four-star prospect, picked Stetson over interest from programs such as South Florida, North Florida, and Kansas.

Ellis will bring size, at 5 feet 9 inches, and perimeter scoring ability to Bria and staff. She is a capable shot creator off the bounce and has continued to improve as a shot maker throughout her prep career.

“Ellis is a versatile guard, capable and with size. We have become familiar with her game over the years at our Elite Basketball Academy camps.” Jonathan Hemingway, ProspectsNation.com’s assistant director of scouting, said, “She has proven that she is a steady handler who can also score the ball when her number is called.”

Stetson now has two verbal commitments for the 2017 class. Joining Ellis is 5-7 point guard Shania Meertens of Winter Springs, Fla. Meertens is rated as a three-and-a-half star prospect.
