Three-Star Forward Danica Piper to Georgia Tech
Georgia Tech went international this week to add the fourth player its 2014 recruiting class. A 6-foot-1 forward, Danica Piper of Kinkida, Serbia, will join her former Serbian National teammate and current Georgia Tech freshman Katarina Vuckovic as a member of the ACC program next year. Piper, who had earned a scholarship offer from Texas in addition to Georgia Tech, is a talented combo forward with the ability to step beyond the 3-point line and knockdown open jumpers in addition to attacking the rim and making a play off the bounce. One area where Piper should really be able to contribute to the ACC school is the defensive side of the ball where she has shown the ability to guard multiple positions both around the rim and on the perimeter.
The Serbian National will join current signees forward Zaire ONeil, guard Imani Tilford, and post Erin Garner as members of Georgia Techs 2014 recruiting class. As of the late signing period the Yellow Jackets held the No. 12 spot in the overall signing class rankings. As they continue to look to add to their 2014 class that overall ranking could move again before everything is finalized.
Petithomme to Auburn
Auburn was able to add one of the best unsigned seniors left on the board in 5-9 combo guard Neydja Petithomme of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. Petithomme is a dynamic scorer with range well beyond the 3-point line. A knee injury her sophomore year of high school slowed down her development a bit but the guard has a college ready frame and should be able to bring a scoring punch to the SEC backcourt next year.
Petithomme becomes the fifth player in Auburns 2014 recruiting class as she joins post Asia Robeson, guard Bria Johnson, and forwards Jazmine and Jessica Jones. Follow @KeilMoorePSB
