Haines to Arizona State
Arizona State landed its point guard of the future this weekend when Sabrina Haines of Mesa, Ariz., picked the PAC-12 school over Texas Tech, Oregon State, and Colorado. Haines, who stands 5 feet 9, is a powerfully built prospect who has made large strides in her skill development throughout her prep career. Haines gives coach Charli Turner-Thorne and her staff a quality two-way player at the guard spot as she can both defend at a high level as well as score the ball.
Offensively she is at her best when she is able to attack the rim as her size and strength afford her the ability to finish in traffic and even through contact. Haines will join her summer basketball teammate Armani Hawkins as the second member of Arizona States 2015 recruiting class. With a point guard in Haines and a wing in Hawkins, look for Arizona State to focus on frontcourt players for their remaining roster spots in 2015.
Cryor to Georgia Tech
For the second week in a row the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets secured a verbal commitment from a class of 2015 prospect out of the Philadelphia area. This week it was point guard Ciani Cryor of Philadelphia, Pa. Cryor is a lead guard that plays the game with very good toughness and edge. She is the kind of point guard who is tough to cover in one-on-one situations and has the ability to breakdown a defense and create scoring opportunities at the end of a shot clock. Cryor is a solid fit at Georgia Tech as the Yellow Jackets pressing style and up-tempo nature should allow her to transition well from prep basketball to the college basketball.
Last week Tech scored 2015 post Martine Fortune, who is also from Philadelphia, giving the Jackets two four-star prospects for Techs 2015 class.

AROUND THE RIM
4-Star Davis to Princeton: Princeton picked up a class of 2015 verbal commitment from 6-0 forward Caroline Davis of Newark, N.J. Davis has the ability to play multiple positions for the Ivy League school. Davis can shoot the perimeter jumper and handle the ball well enough to alleviate pressure and make the occasional play off the bounce. Davis had programs such as NC State and Boston College interested in her services.
4-Star Smith to Western Kentucky:Kayla Smith of Atlanta, Ga., gave a verbal commitment to Western Kentucky this week. Smith, a 5-10 wing is a solid prospect with a well developed perimeter jumper. As she continues to develop physically and add strength to her frame, Smith could be a very good scoring option for Western Kentucky throughout her college career. Follow @KeilMoorePSB
