PHOENIX, ARIZONA - Several of the top underclass prospects in the country were on hand for what is arguably the nation’s premier high school tournament.
Here’s a quick look at some of the underclass names to watch from the Nike Tournament of Champions:
2027 Checklist
Tiera McCarthy of Archbishop Mitty (CA) might have next in the school’s pipeline of next level prospects. She is already a steady hand in the backcourt on a team full of college recruits.
Neveah Roberson of Bishop McNamara (MD) made an impression here on the main floor at Skyline HS. Her versatility on both ends of the game is a major plus.
Maddison Ryan flew over from Australia to be a part of the event while suiting up for Centre of Excellence. She left a mark by making positive plays inside of an offense loaded with cutting and movement.
Zya Small of Friends Central (PA) picked up here where she left off with Exodus NYC at the club version of Tournament of Champions in the summer. Small’s inside - outside playmaking versatility gives her an advantage that most of her peers do not possess.
2028 Checklist
Payton Caudle of Fayetteville (AR) has scholarship offers from schools around the country. She had a good showing on Wednesday finishing with 15 points in a win. Keep an eye out for more coverage on Caudle as the week goes on.
Keep an eye on Addison Uphoff from Sage Hill (CA) at the wing spot over the next 12 to 24 months. She’s still developing as a perimeter threat but she has the tools to be one we track throughout her school career.
2029 Checklist
Avery Bollin of Dexter Southfield (MA) is no stranger to the recruiting scene. She’s been playing in events with college coaches on the baseline for years now. Bollin’s size and mobility caught our attention here.
