North Carolina Training Standouts
Sydney Mains

WINSTON SALEM, North Carolina - The Brandon Clay Training Academy series to bring a unique training atmosphere to gymnasiums across the country. Here are the takeaways from the Academy.

FEATURE PLAYERS

Sydney Mains

Tennessee, Class of 2024

POSITIONG

HEIGHT5' 10"

ELITE
150

This was our first time on the floor with Mains. She has the tools to be a bigtime player on the perimeter. Her understanding of the game at an early age was evident early in our Saturday session. She followed that up by making shot after shot during our shooting sessions. Mains capped off the weekend by showing her overall game during the 5 on 5 session putting her unit back in the game by hitting a couple of timely 3-pointers.

Ny'Ceara Pryor

Maryland, Class of 2022

POSITIONPG

HEIGHT5' 6"

COMMITTED TO

Undecided

Pryor put on a show during the gameplay. A dynamic playmaker at the point guard spot, Pryor reminds me of Emaia O’Brien in the class of 2021. Pryor’s ability to create positive plays on both ends of the floor caught our staff’s attention. As she keeps working on her outside shot, expect Pryor’s game to keep growing as a result.

AROUND THE RIM

Class of 2023 guard Kyla Bryant of High Point, North Carolina, showed promise in the backcourt. She has the skill to be a consistent scorer.

Class of 2023 wing Tate Chappell of Reidsville, North Carolina, has the size on the perimeter that college coaches love these days. She is a potential multi-positional threat as well with her inside-outside vibe.

Class of 2023 wing Jazmin Williams of Knoxville, Tennessee, has the potential to be a do-it-all type on the perimeter. She plays hard and with energy.

Class of 2023 guard Charley Chappell of Reidsville, North Carolina, is such a steady hand at the point guard spot. A left-hand dominant prospect, Chappell makes the right basketball play more times than not.

Keep an eye on Class of 2024 guard Scout Winter of Burlington, North Carolina. She’s a high level I.Q. kid with good bounce in her step.

Class of 2024 forward Elliott Jessup of Winston Salem, North Carolina, has a world of potential. She is just starting to scratch the surface in terms of what we see her becoming.
