Florida coach Cam Newbauer and his staff received great news when 2018 forward of Sydney, Australia, made a verbal pledge to the SEC school. Moore, who took official visits to Florida, Kansas State, San Francisco and Santa Clara, is the No. 6 ranked international prospect in the ProspectsNation.com International ELITE 25 for the 2018 class.
For the Gators, adding Moore is a boost to the new direction of the program. Newbauer, who is in his first year as head coach at Florida, wants versatile forwards who can defend and rebound their position but also stretch the floor. All three are skills Moore will be able to bring to the table for the SEC program. At 6 feet 2 inches tall, Moore has the size to compete around the rim and the skills to play on the perimeter, giving her the perfect combination of physical tools and skills to create mismatch problems.
With Moore on the board for the Gators, Florida now has two players in its 2018 class, both of whom are ranked. Moore will join 2018 point guard Ariel Johnson in Gainesville next season. With available scholarships and the flexibility to add to the 2018 class or move on and focus on the 2019 class, look for Florida to be very active on the recruiting trail in coming months.
The two-player class moves to No. 30 in the 2018 Recruiting Class Rankings.
