N’dea Jones of Brookwood, Georgia has committed to Texas A&M.  After completing official visits to Alabama, Pittsburgh, Virginia Tech and Texas A&M, the 6-foot-2 post picked the SEC school as her destination of choice.  A four-star prospect, Jones becomes the first member of the 2017 class to pick Texas A&M.

"Jones is a player who I've been able to watch progress with a loaded Team Elite EYBL PSBFamily roster that won Nike Nationals this year," Brandon Clay of ProspectsNation.com said.  "Jones has the size that colleges covet in the frontcourt. I watched a battle between her and LSU freshman Faustine Aifuwa during the 2015-16 school season. Jones play left me understanding why schools nationwide made her recruitment a priority. With continued skill developement, she'll have a chance to produce at the next level."

Jones' commitment to Texas A&M continues what has become a pipeline from the State of Georgia to College Station, Texas. The SEC school currently has a sophomore from the Peach State, Anriel Howard.  The addition of Jones gives Gary Blair and his staff an athletic post player with the length to be a rim protector.  Offensively she has a chance to contribute as a post scorer with her emerging skill set.  Throughout her prep career Jones has continued to develop and make strides as an offensive player. If she can continue to progress during her time in college, look for her to find ways to contribute on both sides of the ball.

With a true post player on the way, look for Texas A&M to focus on Chennedy Carter, one of the Aggies' primary targets for the 2017 class. Carter, a five-star prospect, would pair well with Jones giving coach Blair and his staff a dynamic scorer on the perimeter and an athletic post around the rim.
