Katie Dozier of Marietta, Ga., is one of the better shooters at the point guard position in the junior class inside of the Peach State. Out for the club season with a knee injury, the two-time Elite Basketball Academy camper is a steal for a school needing quality leadership in their 2014 recruiting class.

Strengths
Dozier is a left-handed point guard who is comfortable scoring the basketball with her school team while she willingly plays the role of facilitator on a loaded club team. At 5 feet 5 inches, Dozier is not a physically imposing prospect but her ability to create shots for herself and her teammates is impressive. That said, shes a strong guard capable of taking contact and still completing the play. In the classroom, she sports a 4.1 overall GPA. Her high academic standing and on-floor intelligence makes her a potential coach's dream.
Area To Improve
Becoming a top flight on-ball defender is on Doziers to-do list when she returns to live game action. She already does a good job understanding where she should be based on the opposing players tendencies. Turning that understanding into how to cut off angles against quick guards will help Dozier continue her development in that facet of her game.
The Bottom Line
Doziers ability to make the open shot makes her a consistent threat on the offensive end of the floor. On the defensive end, she has grown over the past year and theres no reason why that growth should not continue upon her return later this calendar year.
