Strengths

Lewis has established herself as one of the premier spot shooters in the region. Her ability to get her feet set and shot off quickly reminds me of recent Clemson signee Tiffany Lewis. Like Tiffany did as a high school prospect, Megan has shown range out beyond the college 3-point line off the catch. She has also shown that she can hit the 3-pointer off of the bounce after a defender flies by on the close out. In that way, Lewis is a specialist who has displayed that she can also do the little things needed to be effective in other areas. Lewis is also a capable position defender and rarely forces the issue.

Areas To Improve

Lewis will have to continue to get stronger and fill out physically. She’s shown that she can take a bump and still make a play at the high school level. Being able to do the same at the collegiate will be a big factor in Lewis success. Showing the ability to knockdown shots in the lane with contact will take her game to another level going forward.

The Bottom Line

Not only did Lewis shoot 38 percent from beyond the arc but she averaged 2.5 steals a game. Her sophomore year high school stat line was impressive as she finished with 14 points, 3.5 rebounds and 2.8 assists per contest. In the classroom, Lewis is a member of the Beta Club. We believe the combination of her skill set and academic prowess makes Lewis a prime candidate for a school in need of a shooting guard in the class of 2016.
