It’s almost yearly thing for Louisville coach Jeff Walz and his staff, every fall it seems that the ACC school finds a way to land a five-star recruit. This year it is Dana Evans of Gary, Indiana, who has made the pledge to Walz and his staff. Evans is the second member of the 2017 class to commit to the ACC school; she will join 6-foot-3 post Loretta Kakala of Manteca, California, for more information on Louisville’s 2017 outlook click the link below.
Last year the Cardinals top-ranked prospect was 4.5-star wing Jazmine Jones of Tallahassee, Florida, but in 2015 they landed the No. 1 overall prospect in Asia Durr of Douglass, Georgia. The 2017 class will give Durr and Jones a five-star point guard to make an immediate impact alongside the duo of wings.
Evans, who played with the Lady Spiece Indy Gym Rats, a Nike EYBL team, took official visits to Louisville, Purdue, and Tennessee. After making stops to all three programs, Evans decided that Louisville was the place for her. As the No. 3 overall prospect in the class of 2017 look for Evans to make an immediate impact for Walz and his staff. She is a dynamic point guard who is equally as capable of scoring as she is creating offense for those around her.
