Class of 2021 post Maryam Dauda of Bentonville High School (Arkansas) chooses Baylor.
Dauda is one of the country’s most intriguing bigs in the class. She has the combination of length with athleticism to fit right in with coach Kim Mulkey’s style of play. Dauda is every bit of 6-foot-4 and has ideal measureables for a program that is consistently one of the nation’s elite. Add that to an upside that is as promising as any in the class and the Bears strike gold again landing Dauda to start their 2021 class.
Class of 2021 center Clarice Akunwafo of Rolling Hills Prep (San Pedro, California) committed to Southern Cal.
Standing at 6-6, Akunwafo will give the Women of Troy a legitimate sized option in the paint. She has all of the physical tools to be a consistent producer in a conference loaded with quality prospects in the frontcourt. Expect Akunwafo to make her way into our updated rankings upon their release in the next couple of weeks.
Class of 2021 wing Laila Phelia of Mount Notre Dame High School (Cincinnati, Ohio) committed to Michigan.
Phelia's talent and length is unique in that she can play either wing position and conceivably the 4 player spot too if the Wolverines elect to go small. Phelia might not have a go-to specialty right now but her versatility is noteworthy and makes her one of the top hybrid wing prospects nationally.
