Cheesman To Vanderbilt

Cheesman To Vanderbilt
Kendal Cheesman

One of the most versatile and shot making forwards in the class of 2021 has made her commitment. Florida native Kendal Cheesman picked Vanderbilt over the weekend, giving the Commodores a legitimate Elite 100 caliber prospect to start their class.

Cheesman shined at the BrandonClayScouting Training Academies this fall in Atlanta and Nashville. “Cheesman is a versatile option in the frontcourt. She can score it from the outside in addition to finishing around the rim. Her academics are elite. Cheesman impressed me with her inside-outside play during the 2019 Final Four Weekend in Tampa. This setting was more of the same.”

After taking trips to visits to Belmont, Princeton, Vanderbilt and Villanova this fall, Cheesman’s stock was trending up. In the end, it was the concentrated efforts of Vanderbilt’s recruiting staff – Gary Redus and Shereka Wright who got the deal done.
