Class of 2021 guard Gabbi Cartagena has committed to Troy.

Gabbi Cartagena of Jackson High School (Georgia) has shown at the guard spot a willingness and ability to be dynamic on the wing. She’ll give a Troy roster that has performed at a high level as of late even more firepower. When she turns her energy up a notch and attacks the rim to make plays, there aren’t a lot of guards like her in the Peach State. Going forward, Cartagena has the capability to become a high level on-ball defender too.

Class of 2021 point guard Kamryn Doty chooses Elon.

Kamryn Doty of Sabino High School (Tucson, Arizona) reminds me of Jenna Walker (Western Kentucky commit). Doty can make things happen with her grit and toughness. For Elon, she’ll provide a steady hand at the position who could very well be a key piece upon arrival. What she lacks in size, she made up for with her willingness to attack the lane and facilitate. Doty is at her best alongside another scoring-first minded guard.
