Brown Picks The Big Ten

Brown Picks The Big Ten
Jillian Brown

The recruiting dominoes in the Class of 2021 will continue to fall during the spring. This time, it’s ELITE 75 ranked Jillian Brown of East Grand Rapids, Michigan, choosing Northwestern. Brown has the ability to give the Big Ten power another scoring option like Lindsay Pulliam. Unlike Pulliam, Brown is a combo type at the guard spot who could shoot in the high 30’s, even low 40’s from beyond the arc early in her career.

Brown is the second commitment for Northwestern in the 2021 class.  She comes in on the heals of the three player class the Wildcats signed in 2020 – No. 91 Jasmine Williams of Carmel, Indiana, No. 100 Anna Morris of Mahway, New Jersey, and three-star post Paige Mott of Elkins Park, Pennsylvania.

EVAL FROM SEPTEMBER:

Brown came in with a laser like focus. She's very business like and I really enjoyed working with her as a result. A talented sharp shooter, she was able to take quick tips instructionally and apply them right away to her game. Brown shot the ball well on Sunday that we actually ran two pin-down screen sets during gameplay where Sydney Parrish (Oregon verbal) was the screener for her. Brown calmly sank both 3-pointers.
