Lindsey CorsaroThe college season is ever so close with many teams gearing up for foreign tours and others getting their summer workouts in before fall semester starts. And although the class of 2016 has not been on the travel ball circuit since last fall, that doesn’t mean they stopped playing and progressing.
The latest version of the ProspectsNation.com ELITE 150 for the class of 2016 was released this summer taking into account the players’ performance during their senior high school season, as well as some other elite showcase matchups, such as the USA Basketball U18 national team trials.
With these adjustments, along with players signing in the late signing period, the 2016 recruiting class rankings needed to be refreshed as well.
2016 Final Recruiting Class Rankings

Ty Freeman.South Carolina also saw its class move up considerably with the signing of No. 19 Tyasha Harris. Adding the fourth best point guard in the class moved the Gamecocks up to the 20th best class in the nation.
UCLA also joined the fray by adding No. 15 Lindsey Corsaro to the class. The Indianapolis product was released from her Letter of Intent with Kentucky and considered Indiana, Michigan and Washington before deciding on the Bruins.
Another major impact on class rankings is the influx of international talent. Many of those players do not commit until the spring as they have to deal with a more difficult admissions process along with fewer evaluation opportunities for the schools trying to recruit them. Nonetheless schools like Georgia Tech, Oregon and Wake Forest headline the list of schools adding flavor from overseas this summer.
