Class of 2017 post, Unique Thompson of Theodore, Ala., has narrowed her list to six finalists. The 6-foot-3 post will make a college decision from a list of Auburn, Florida State, Georgetown, Mississippi State, South Carolina, and Texas A&M. Thompson, who is playing her summer basketball with the Alabama Southern Starz, plans on playing through July and making fall official visits before ultimately picking a school.
When asked about the factors that will play in her making a decision Thompson listed relationship with the coaches that have recruited her and her academic major, Special Education, as two important keys. She is also looking for a family oriented program that feels like home.
2016 has been an active summer for Thompson as she has solidified herself as one of the elite post players in the 2017 class. While her offensive game continues to evolve, as an inside-outside scoring threat, Thompson can make face-up jumpers and finish plays around the rim. Thompson, who we have graded as a four-star prospect, projects as a potential early contributor to any of her six finalists and could potentially develop into a quality offensive post option.
