Giusto's game continues to develop and grow. She is a point guard who can make plays for herself and others in the back court. Her jumper is consistent as is her ball handling. The energy and competitiveness she brings to the court gives her separation from other players who are similar at her position. The area we would like to see growth is her ability to impact the game defensively. This includes being pesky while guarding the ball as well as being active on weakside help.
- - Patience
Giusto's repuation at EBA events is rock solid. She has dazzled evaluators and spectators for years with her ball handling and play-making abilities. She is a point guard who has been undersized in the past, but she has never let that slow down her willingness to be aggressive. She has physically matured in the past several months and her game has kept pace. She is a good ball handler and a willing table setter from the point guard position. Her ability to hit jumpers or even get down hill to make the floater make her a special player. She plays the game with a lot of confidence and it shows. The important of Mya's game in the next few years is to have patience and not feel rushed to make a play on every trip down the floor.
Giusto again impressed visitors in attendance this weekend with her ball skill and play-making ability. Although undersized, even for her age, she consistently made plays among the taller players. Her talent is evident even while she plays against older or more mature players as she has developed a sense of confidence about her. Her energy, especially on the defensive end, is infectious and she projects to be a good leader when she gets older. The challenge for such a talented young player is to learn when to attack and when to defer. She will learn this in time and experience.
