Ramos is a 5'9 guard in the 2018 class that plays with great decision-making and a high IQ. Since we last saw her she has put on a lot of new strength which has positively impacted her court presence both offensively and defensively. She had more power grabbing rebounds, was solid defending the ball-handler, and was checking cutters as they went through the lane. Going to the basket, she had more balance and was taking quality looks at the rim. It was also great watching her work off ballscreens. She did well staying tight to the screener and making reads out of that series. She looked for the quick dish and for her shot in the midrange, which is a high level skill for a guard to have coming off the bounce into a quick stop and pop. Ramos has a savvy to her game and her development is coming along smoothly with all the new features she keeps adding to her game.
Ramos has good height, size, strength in her upper body, and a lot of power when she puts the ball on the floor. She proved she is capable of knocking down open outside jumpers and had a lot of success with that over the course of the showcase weekend. She plays with a lot of confidence and poise, which plays really well into her capabilities and strengths. Where she can look to improve is tightening up her handles, work with a little more explosiveness as she navigates the floor and use more leverage getting to the basket by living lower to the ground. Overall, Ramos is a talented player because of her great decision making skills and confidence on the floor.
