Petty turned in yet another high caliber performance at this camp. She is a high-energy player who is consistently locked in and engaged from start to finish. She is transitioning from being a player who fits in to becoming the player who others can feed of her playmaking ability. She proved to be a capable shooter and an aggressive slasher to the basket. Her fundamentals are sound and she is growing into a full-fledged play-maker. Petty has done a terrific job of shaping her body with physical conditioning and getting the most out of her athletic ability. The challenge for her will be to maximize her lateral quickness to defend the quickest guards at the next level.
Petty is no stranger to the Elite Basketball Academy. She is a skilled player who blends energy and effort into her game. She is a shot maker who can also attack the rim with the dribble. Her ability to control her body around defenders in the paint is an area where she has improved. Petty is proving that she can be a solid scorer on the wing while giving max effort on the defensive end. She can still improve her left hand when attacking the basket. It is not a hole in her game, but it is an area where she can grow.
Petty is a shooting guard who has great size and athleticism for the position. She has earned a reputation at EBA Camps as a hustle player who is a willing defender and quick to dive on a loose ball. What Petty has improved as of late is her ball skill and ability to drive the ball to the rim. She also showed nice vision with the pass in this camp. While Petty is capable of hitting perimeter jumpers, that is an area that she will continue to focus upon in future years. That skill will help complement the rest of her offensive game.
Petty is a wing with great size for the position. She plays with good activity on both ends of the floor while also possessing solid skill. Her ability to hit the open jumper and to attack the rim give a diverse skill set. Add in the fact that she plays with energy on the defensive end and Petty established herself as a prospect to track for years to come.
